The British Parking Association (BPA) is a non-profit organisation which represents the organisations in the parking and traffic industry. It actively represents the parking industry by promoting standards and professionalism to enable their members to provide a better service for the motorists. The Safer Parking Scheme is an accreditation of the Associations of Chief Police Officers aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities. Safer parking status, Park Mark®, is awarded to parking facilities that have met the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police. Premier Park is one such company.
The Approved Operator Scheme (AOS) is a scheme which was launched for BPA members back in 2007 to improve and maintain standards.
The AOS is designed specifically for those BPA members that operate parking enforcement services on private land or in unregulated public car parks.
POPLA (Parking on Private Land Appeals) is available across the UK for motorists who receive a ticket on private land by one of our Approved Operators. POPLA is judicially independent when it comes to deciding the outcome of an appeal and their decision is binding on the operator only.
CHAS, or the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme as it is known in its proper form, is a significant scheme promoting the benefits of effective Health and Safety within industries and business. The CHAS certification or certificate for accreditation is meant for consultants and contractors who apply for work with private and public sector organisations.
